On December 1, 2009, forty-six new members were inducted to the Marion County Area Tech Center's Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. Juniors and senior from both Marion and Washington County high schools were selected based on attendance, teacher recommendation and achieving at least a 90% ATC average. Six of the students inducted were from Washington County. Mary Lancaster Taylor serves as career counselor for MCATC and co-ordinator for the group.
