SWEDA finished another successful retention effort this past quarter finishing with our largest turn-out to date for the Manager's Breakfast. Attending the breakfast was Congressman Bret Guthrie who was complimentary of the manufacturers in Springfield and Washington County for continuing to invest in the community.
Recruiting continues with the recent event with Bluegrass South where we updated consultants on available land, buildings, and workforce.
Under workforce, the opening of the Employment office in the Courthouse Annex should prove to be a positive move. A special thanks to the City of Springfield and Washington County Fiscal Court for partnering on this venture by remodeling the office and providing the space. The emphasis on helping those unemployed has reached an all time high and this office will be a beacon to those in search for a job and needing assistance in unemployment benefits
